Swords to Plowshares

Swords to Plowshares’ 11th Annual Veterans Day Dinner, Profiles of Courage, was a resounding success! We had a wonderful celebration and tribute to our veterans and countless supporters. And word spread that it was the smoothest event to date! Woo hoo! Check out photos from the event.

Thanks to all the staff and clients who volunteered their time. The dinner would not have been so great without your tremendous effort and hard work. And a very special thanks to Megan Klein for her hard work and dedication to this event. We are planning a pizza party, most likely to be scheduled for the week after Thanksgiving. Megan Klein will contact the volunteers to let them know when it will take place.

Swords was honored to award Profiles of Courage to Robert Scott, Scott Kehler, and the Bay Area Chapter of Vets 4 Vets. This award is a tribute that we wish to give all veterans for their courage and sacrifice, and illustrates how thankful we are for the veterans we work with everyday.

We will keep you updated as plans for the next Annual Veterans Day Dinner take shape. The dinner will be the Thursday before Veterans Day, November 6, 2008.
