IN MEMORY
Steven Garcia, a veteran who served in the Vietnam War, relocated to San Francisco from his hometown of Chicago. For years, he worked in line cooking and various other jobs until his health deteriorated. Steven's affection for his terrier puppy, Beanie, was profound, often dressing him in hoodies and PJs. He loved Big Macs, Pringles, and the 49ers, and he adored animals in general. A loyal friend, Steven possessed a sharp wit, masterful sarcasm, and undeniable charm.
Steven was a social person and he relished the company of those he trusted. Unfortunately, Steven passed away at the age of 68 on the streets of the Mission. He is survived by Beanie, who now resides on Valencia Street, which Steven once called home.
